Our First Mud Run

We went to our first mud run for a friends birthday party! It was fun and dirty. Addyson amazed me how determined she was to finish it. She lost her shoes at the very first of the race and kept running bare foot. I was so proud of her. Brycen did a little but wasn't a fan of getting dirty. Paul was a trooper in getting in the mud hole so Brycen could jump to him. Bella and I ran beside them and watched and took pictures.

This spring was Brycen's first season of t-ball and he loved it! We all had a great time watching his little team grow. Addy didn't play a sport this spring. (she decided she wanted to when it was to late) She is going to play soccer and dance in the fall. Brycen is going to try out soccer again as well!:)

Snow Days in February

I went back to school one day from maternity leave and then the snow fell. My mom came down that week to keep Bella another week. Little did we know we all were home. I have to admit it was nice getting extra time with Bella. We had loads of fun as soon as the snow stuck. (the first 3 days it never stuck just roads were covered in ice.) We made snow angels, rode on homemade sleds, made snow ice cream, and had lots and lots of family time. It was wonderful to be stuck inside together!

San Angelo Trip

It was nice to see everyone in San Angelo. We had a fun and exciting time! Thanks to Robert and Becky for letting them stay with them. And Thanks to Lucie for entertaining the kiddos with outdoor games and ice cream sundaes that they still talk about.

Oh! How can I begin? The day of Bella's birth was like any ordinary day. I took the kids to school and went to work. I was finishing up my morning classes when I felt something wet. I went to the bathroom and decided the baby must be on my bladder. I proceeded to go to lunch. Then quickly after I ate I decided that this wet feeling was becoming more. My friend/co-worker Liz urged me to go to the hospital just to be sure. I was reluctant thinking how embarrassing it would be to go to the Hospital and the nurses say "oh sweetie you are wetting on yourself". That was not at all the case I soon found out. By the time I made it to the hospital I decided my water had to of broke. After a few minutes the nurses confirmed it and I was admitted in the hospital. At that time I called Paul to come since I knew today was the day we would meet out baby girl. Not to long later I got my epidural. (below is a picture of me after my epidural) Only two pushes later at 4:01 Bella was here!She weighed 5 pounds, 15 ounces, and 19.25 inches long. It seemed like a dream everything was so easy. It helped I didn't have to labor at night and hardly had any labor at all. For a bit after they gave me pitocin I was a little uncomfortable but never in pain. The whole experience was great and still is with my perfect little family of five. I am truly blessed and feel complete. God is Good!

Brycen turns four!

Where in the world does time go? My baby boy is four! He wanted to have a party at Pump it up. When I went to make the reservation I found out it was closed. Luckily I found a Bounce House place in the mall. It actually turned out better with more bounce houses and bigger. This year since baby Bella was expected to arrive in early December. We decided to have Brycen Birthday Party the weekend before Thanksgiving. Then on his actual birthday on the 22nd, we went to Chuck E. Cheese in Abilene and had a family party then. He had a great time playing with his friends and family.

Stephen and Jennifer's Wedding

November 13, 2010. This was a great day! My sister getting married! It was a very nice simple wedding at the Grace followed by a big reception at the Bee Hive. We are so happy to have Stephen as a part of our family. Addyson was so excited to have a dress like Ferfer. Brycen and Addyson walked down the aisle together. It was so cute! There are many more great pictures but these are the ones I have on my camera.

In the fall Addy wanted to get her ears punched (what she calls it), but was scared at the same time. So the weekend before Jennifer's wedding she went through with it. It was perfect timing we were done with soccer and exactly 12 weeks from Christmas when she can change them out to new ones.:) She is such a big girl!

Halloween

Brycen was a Pirate at school. He had to dress up as a character from a book. We chose a pirate and he was Hook from Peter Pan.

Addyson was a witch and Brycen wanted to be a Police Officer. (Caplice Officer is how he says it.:)) I have always wanted to dress up being pregnant. The kids thought I was the coolest mom. I was a little embarrassed and got plenty of stares but who cares. It is all in fun right. Ferfer was embarrassed to go treat or treating with me as well.

We cooked out, played outside on the trampoline, carved pumpkins, and went TRICK OR TREATING!

Dark at the Park ~ October 2010

Every year we go to River Legacy Dark in the Park. We have tons of fun there. We go on a hayride, pick a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch, play carnival Halloween games, and make spooky crafts. We even have more fun because Ferfer, Stephen, Connor, and Caden go too! Nana usually comes as well but not this year.

School Fall Activities

In the Fall Addyson's school had a few activities during school where I went and watched her. One was the Daulton Fun Run where during P.E. class the students ran/walked for a certain amount of time and got a X on her shirt for every lap she completed. She was so excited to see me there. It made my day!:)

In October she had a Community Parade where she got to dress up as a community worker and they paraded around the building. She dressed up as a Police Officer that was Brycen costume for Halloween. It was fun to watch her.

Fall Soccer

We were super busy this fall! Watching two games every Saturday morning sometimes they played at the same time so Paul and I would take turns going to one of them. This was Addy's third season and Brycen's first. This spring Brycen is going to try Baseball out instead and Addy wants to do Ballet. Can't wait to see how we will juggle 3 kids in sports in a few years!

Ranger Game and Mercy Me Concert in August.

This was a fun weekend! Robert, Becky, Lucie, and Carter came down to visit us. We went and ate at Babe's Chicken on Friday night when they came in. Saturday we went shopping a little bit then headed early to the Ranger Game for a Pregame concert by Mercy me. The kids got free t-shirts that they loved. They had a wonderful time singing to the concert. (even though it was August and hot.) After the concert we sat in the nose bleed section but the kids thought it was the best thing ever and talk about going back all the time. Our game ticket included the concert, seat, free drink, and hot dog. I was hesitant of it at first but glad I went and can't wait to go again next year. We had so much fun with the fam! Thanks guys for coming down and going with us. It was a blast!

First Day of School

This was Brycen's first day of school at his Castle School (that is what he calls it). Addy started the following week because she is a big Kindergartner now! So that week she went with me a few days and on other days I had friends watch her.

This was Addyson's first day of school and since she was starting Kindergarten Paul and I both took her to school and took pictures. She was so excited! She has been loving school. I was so relieved with this. I am so proud of my big girl!

Addyson's 5th Birthday Bash

This year Addyson wanted a Luau Party. (huwa duwa in her words) So we rented out our community pool and had a blast. Since her BFF Ava last year had a pool and a pinata that is exactly what she wanted of course. Thanks to Nana and Peeps to help out with it all. We had hot dogs, chips, and fruit kabobs. Thanks to all who could come and celebrate this special day with us!

Birthday Part One: First American Girl Visit

Nana wanted to take Addyson to the American Girl store by the Galleria and let her pick out a doll, outfit, and eat lunch with the doll. It was fun for just us girls. My sister kept Brycen and we were on our way. Addyson was so excited to go. It was nice to do this with her before December when we will be having a another baby girl to pamper. It was a nice experience and great memories to last a lifetime! Thanks Nana! We love you!

Family Reunion in Wimberley, Texas

We had such a good and relaxing time in Wimberley. Paul stayed at home and worked while Jennifer and the kids met Mom and Dad at Wimberley on Sunday. We stayed until Friday visiting with relatives we haven't seen since our last reunion. It was nice to see everyone and catch up on what everyone has been up to. We played at the river and by the pool. ( I didn't get in the river being pregnant I didn't know if it is safe. Last time I didn't either so i just put my legs in.)

Peeps took the kids fishing and Nana and I came to watch and take pictures. It was so hilarious watching. Peeps would get a rod ready for Addyson, Brycen, and Caden and before you knew it one was stuck in the tree, or log, or needed more bait. I never laughed so hard. Brycen was so serious about fishing. He looked like a little Peeps. Addyson was such a girl when it came to the worm and the fish. She screamed.

One day we went to Schilterbaun for the day and it was a blast playing at the water park. Another day was spent at Sam Marcos shopping at the outlets. (you know I had fun.)

It was a great time relaxing, talking, and hanging out with family. I can't wait to do it again!

Swim Lessons with Mr. Bryan

I was amazed this year at the progress the kids did in swim lessons. We took private swim lessons which were a little more but well worth it. They went for nine 30 minute sessions. When they started they were scared of the water and when they were done they were swimming like pros. I am so proud of my little swimmers. We go to our pool everyday and they can't get enough of it. I love it!

WCPS Spring Fling

This was Addyson and Brycen's Spring Fling at their school this year in April. Brycen had to ride on the pink horse. They had so much fun at their school. I can't believe how much they have grown in a few months. (especially Brycen)

Easter Weekend 2010

This Easter we had a great time in Abilene. On the first night we got there Brycen was playing baseball and the ball hit him right in the eye. First of many shiners I am sure! New Year's was a blast! Didn't take much pictures but I think everyone had a good time. We made Sushi! (Thanks to Jennifer) It was tons of fun and can't wait to do it again! While I was in Abilene I got together with a few of my friends from high school. It was neat letting our kids play together. I went to the park with Tiffany and Karen and their kids. I also got together with Stacy, Sarah, Andrea and Tiffany at Stacy's house one morning and let the kids play. (sorry no pics forgot the camera (dang it.) It was really nice to see everyone again. I hope we all keep in touch and get together more often. Due to weather I didn't get to see them as much but will try and make up for it later! Good to see you ladies! It is fun watching the little ones grow!

Christmas day was so much fun this year. The kids are really at a good age. Santa brought Brycen a Leapster 2 and a Scooter and brought Addyson a Nintendo DS and a girl (not a baby doll). That was there big gifts for 2009. They are stocked up on gifts for the year! It was so fun watching them have so much fun. Good Times!

White Christmas

When we woke up on Christmas Eve morning we had a White Christmas in Abilene. We only played in it a little bit because we all had colds and it was blizzard like wind. (for us anyway) It was great to have a White Christmas. The roads were icy so for the next few days we hung out with family. It was nice to slow down and relax indoors with family.

This was our Christmas Party in Grapevine at my Aunt's house. (dads sister) We get together and every year with all of Dad's side of the family. It is always a great time to see family.

Brycen's 3rd Birthday Fun

Whatever Addyson does then Brycen thinks that is what he is suppose to do. Brycen has been talking about a Chuck E. Cheese Birthday party ever since Addy had it in July. He wanted a Chuck E. Cheese Party with a Spiderman cake! So that is exactly what he got. It wasn't to bad if you do the party early on Saturday then it is not crazy like it is later. We decided to have his Party earlier in December instead of closer to his Birthday so more would attend. Two kids from his class came Tyler and Gabriel. Brock, Braxton, Ava, Antonio and Nataila all came and played for his Birthday. It was a blast! Thanks for all who came and played!

Holiday fun

This was when we went to Prairie Lights. We drove through millions of light s and in the middle they have a stop were you can see Santa, ride rides, and drink hot chocolate. It was freezing and we were crazy enough to wait in lines so that our kids could ride the rides. (what you do for your kids) Nana and Peeps came along with us.

Neighborhood Christmas Party

Addyson and Brycen got to talk to Santa at our Neighborhood Christmas Party. They were hilarious! After all the kids were in line to talk to Santa and got a picture, then Addy and Brycen kept going up and talking to Santa, giving fives, and pretty much bothering him. No matter what I did to keep them away they would find their way back to him. They were having too much fun.

Christmas time fun! This is when we went to the Gaylord Ice in Grapevine. I thought the kids might be to little but they loved it. The theme was the Grinch. The ice was amazing that people could actually create such stuff with ice. The Gaylord itself was beautiful to see. It was a great day!

The kids had a blast this year with Halloween. They were so fun! They are still talking about. It was a fun year. Halloween morning we made spider cupcakes. (Addy and Bryce loved decorating the spiders.) Addy had 2 birthday parties during the day to go to. One at ASI and one at Pump it up. I thought she would be too tired and cranky to treat or treat but no she was ready to party! We cooked out at Ferfer's with Nana and Peeps. We made our annual stop at Nanny's house so she could see the kids. (right down the street from our old house) Then we headed out to trick or treat around the neighborhood. The kids loved it! Addyson wanted to be a black kitty cat this year and Brycen wanted to be Batman. (last minute) Friday at school Addyson and Brycen got to dress up as storybook characters. Addyson was Angelina the Ballerina and Brycen was Simba from Lion King. Now that Halloween 2009 has come and gone we still have wonderful memories to cherish from now on.

Last Weekend we went to Sea World with Nana, Peeps, Jennifer, and the boys. It was alot of fun! Sesame Street was there too! We went to the river walk on both nights. Addyson went on the Shamu roller coaster ride. Addy and Brycen loved watching the dolphins.
