We started off our trip on Sunday by checking into the hotel and heading straight to the Riverwalk where we ate yummy Mexican food and rode the boat around the River.  We ended the night with a swim in the hotel pool.  What a great day!

I am officially 30!?!?!

This past weekend my Mom and Dad came down to celebrate my birthday.  They took us to a really nice steak house and mom made me a wonderful cake(upon request).  Paul's birthday is the week before so Mom and Dad bought us a joint gift.....A WII!.  We spent all day Saturday playing it!  It was so much fun!  Thanks Mom and Dad!  We left on Sunday morning for San Antonio Riverwalk and Sea World.  More posts to come.....
Here is yet another canvas we made.  This one we made for Liz's sister.  I really liked it and wanted to keep it for myself.  I guess I will have to make another one!

My sweet husband birthday night.....and mine too!

On Paul's birthday, we went and ate sushi at Sundance Square and went out with Jennifer, Steve, and Brandi.  (so I thought)  Paul planned a somewhat surprise party for my 30th.  He had told me no one was going to be able to come to Fort Worth with us.  After we went and ate at the Piranha's,  we went to the Reatta on the roof top and that is when Kristyn, Josh, Allen and Allison showed up to surprise me.  It was a lot of fun and so very sweet.  (I am not the easiest to surprise)  Paul did all this for me on his birthday.  What a great man!  I love him so!
Mom came up and kept the kids for our one annual date night.   Thank so much Nana!  The kids had a blast...and Addy keeps saying"Where's Nana did she have to go see her puppy?"

MORE CRAFTS!!

A friend of mine Kristyn made the wood frame on top.  I love it!  Know I have started to make those as well.  Liz taught me how to make fleece blankets like above.  I made Paul the UT one for his birthday.  Mom and I made Addy the Tinkerbell one this weekend when she came down to keep the kids for our birthday night.  The last picture is of a canvas I made for our friend Derek and Sherri's baby girl (Madelyn) 1st birthday.  If you look very closely there is a ladybug on the cross.  I have started making barrettes and bows as well.  More pictures to follow.....Hope you enjoy!

Daddy/Daughter Dance

Addy and Daddy had a blast at her school's Daddy/Daughter Dance in the school gym.  I fixed her hair and took pictures and they were off.  Addy and Daddy danced, took pictures, and ate cake and punch.  She didn't want Daddy to help her carry her cake (stubborn like her mom) so she dropped 2 pieces of cake on the floor trying to make it to her seat to eat it.  When she got home she was exhausted and crashed out.  Brycen and Mommy went to the ice cream shop and ate ice cream. It was nice having Brycen by himself.  He was cracking me up.   We all had a great night!

The next Betty Crocker!

I was amazed tonight at my little Addy.  I asked if she wanted to help me make dinner.  (She loves to help me make cakes and cookies. )  She ran and got her little chair and pushed it up to the island right away.  I cut all the ingredients and off she went.  I placed the english muffins on the pans and she took the sauce and carefully spread it on each english muffin.  then I would tell her what to add to each pizza.  We made one with pineapples and canadian bacon, one with bell peppers, black olives, mushrooms, and canadian bacon, and  more in between. We had a little mess afterward but was amazed how focused she was on making the pizza.  I was so proud of my little girl.  Then she called Paul on his way home from work and said " Dinner is ready baby"  it was hilarious as if I was telling him that.  She is a hoot!  Addyson, Daddy and I ate it all up.  Brycen didn't want anything to do with it.

Fun weekend

This weekend while we were in Abilene I was in search for a fancy dress for Addy to wear Friday to a Daddy Daughter Dance at her school.  After looking all over I went to Beall's and found this fancy dress for $8.69.  I was pumped, it is flowing and perfect for the occasion.  In Abilene we just took it easy with Nana and Peeps.  We saw Mimi and Papa as well.  Mom and I took the kids to the circus.  The kids had fun even though it was a crappy circus.  I left my camera at home and was mad that I didn't get pics of the circus.  (didn't miss much though)  The only pictures I took all weekend was the kids in the bath.  Trying to get better at taking pictures.  I think I am a lot better since I have been blogging.  The last 2 pics are canvas's I made one for Liz and the other for Addyson.  Addyson's I am going to put bright pink and green feathers around the sides of it.  (to make it even wilder) Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend as we did!
